Brazil's Finance Ministry has predicted that the national economy will grow by five per cent in 2011.
In the latest edition of the bi-monthly Perspectives on the Brazilian Economy report, the ministry said the gross domestic product's (GDP) rate of growth would be slower but more stable than the 7.5 per cent growth seen in 2010.
Looking optimistically into the future, the ministry also posted that the GDP growth in 2012 will reach 5.5 per cent, then climb even further to 6.5 per cent both in 2013 and 2014.
